4. The man behind the puppet

Not many people actually know that Frank Oz from the Muppets is both the voice and puppeteer of Yoda of all the films he had appeared in. What most people don’t know was that many other actors had the chance before Frank Oz himself.

Another possible Yoda candidate included Jim Henson, who was offered the role but declined due to being too busy with The Great Muppet Caper, who then gave the suggestion of Frank Oz. Other possible Yoda candidates included Warwick Davis (Wicket the Ewok) and Deep Roy who had subbed in for full body Yoda shots since even though Yoda may be a Jedi master… a puppet can’t hold itself up.
