PLAYSTATION PLUS SEPTEMBER LINEUP LEADS WITH DESTINY 2

While Microsoft’s September lineup for Games with Gold was modest, Sony’s PlayStation Plus September offerings are likely the best the service has ever seen. And September’s collection will actually be starting early with Destiny 2 being available now.

Destiny 2: Forsaken, launching September 4th, isn’t included with the PlayStation Plus promotion. You’ll have to spend $40 in order to get current with Destiny 2 content. But still, including the Destiny 2 base game is a hell of an addition to the PlayStation Plus September package. And it’s likely a smart way to get a new batch of gamers interested in next month’s Forsaken expansion.

But Destiny 2 isn’t the only big franchise rolling out in the PlayStation Plus September lineup. God of War 3 Remastered is also coming our way next month. With the series’ resurgence thanks to this year’s soft reboot, God of War, I’m sure there are tons of fans interested in Kratos’ final assault on the Greek gods. God of War 3 Remastered will be available September 4th

There are half a dozen other titles coming in September too. Another World – 20th Anniversary Edition is coming to PlayStation 3, as well as PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita via cross buy. QUBE Director’s Cut is coming to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 with cross buy. And Sparkle 2 and Foul Play are your Vita titles this month, with Spark 2 coming to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 and Foul Play coming to PlayStation 4 with cross buy.

All in all, September proves to be a dominant showing by Sony in the monthly games department. We’ll see if they can keep up the momentum with another solid slate of games in October.
