PIXAR SHUFFLE

Can’t Wait for The Incredibles 2? Then Here’s A little Good News For You

Pixar made a trade yesterday.

While it only involved future considerations, it was still a bit of a blockbuster. Disney’s billion dollar animated company swapped the release dates of upcoming sequels Toy Story 4 and Incredibles 2, moving The Incredibles sequel from 2019 to the 2018 slot Toy Story originally occupied. In turn, Toy Story moves to The Incredibles original 2019 slot. No official reason was given for the change except that The Incredibles was on a faster development schedule. Perhaps it may have something to do with the larger appetite audiences have demonstrated for The Incredibles sequel, a movie they’ve been clamouring for since the original was released in 2004.

The Incredibles 2 is now scheduled for release June 15, 2018 while Toy Story 4 is scheduled to hit theatres June 21, 2019. Pixar is scheduled to release Cars 3 (June) and Coco (November) in 2017.
