NETFLIX ANNOUNCES STRANGER THINGS SEASON TWO

Who didn’t love Stanger Things?

That was rhetorical but if you raised your hand we’re all going to mock and ridicule you later.

Netflix has finally announced that there will be a season two of the popular sci-fi/horror show. While no footage was released they did tease a small video with the titles of the nine episodes comprising the second season set against the show’s iconic title.

Fans have anxiously been waiting for an announcement for season two since everyone on the planet finished binge watching Stranger Things when Netflix dropped it back in July. The show appeared with little fanfare but its unashamed celebration of early 80’s culture and nostalgia coupled with strong word of mouth made it an instant hit.

While no details have been released about the potential story that season two will pursue, show creators Matt and Ross Duffer teased that a second season could be about justice for Barb, Karen’s friend who fell victim to the monstrous Demogorgon (Barb became something of an unsung folk hero among the show’s fans). The Internet is already full of theories for story ideas and plots regarding the second season (this one in particular was pretty interesting).

And have no fear, the entire adolescent Dungeons and Dragons brotherhood who saved the day and made season one so memorable will be back, though whether they’ll all be on the side of the Angels this time remains to be seen.

Stranger Things season two will debut sometime in 2017.
