Many of the costumes and uniforms worn by characters in the Marvel comics universe are created with “unstable molecules,” a technology developed by Reed Richards that allows fabric to withstand the deleterious effects of the wearer’s powers and the wear-and-tear of battle.
For example Spider-Man was able change his costume’s coloring and markings, allowing him to modify his Future outfit, or to switch between it and his regular outfit.
