The Fractured But Whole has ben officially delayed until Q1 of 2017 (No exact date given). Originally set to be released for December 6, 2016. After the incredible success of The Stick of Truth, this is some pretty sad news. It seems the Christmas list of many will soon be changing.
The announcement comes from Ubisoft’s official blog, explaining that “the development team wants to make sure the game experience meets the high expectations of fans and the additional time will help them achieve this goal.”
Despite the immense success of The Stick of Truth, some common complaints throughout reviews of the game included the game becoming “Choppy” despite the simplistic visuals of the game. Ubisoft may be taking the time to sharpen up the graphics and not repeat the same flaw.
Additionally, they might be trying to work in some more relevant jokes and gags into The Fractured But Whole. When the first game released, it was difficult to include gags that were time sensitive. This is certainly something that could be introduced even this far into development.
For now, all we can do is speculate. If The Fractured But Whole is half as good as The Stick of Truth you can guarantee it will be flying off he shelf , but for now we will have to wait until Ubisoft gives it the green light.
