Fans of the ABC/TBS comedy series Cougar Town should prepare to watch The CW’s Supergirl this season. Ian Gomez, best know to fans of Cougar Town as Andy will be joining the CW’s Supergirl in a recurring role during its second season.
Gomez will take on the roll of Snapper Carr who will be the new Editor-in-Cheif at CatCo. Fans of the Supergirl comic series will know that Carr made his first appearance in 1960’s “The Brave and the Bold” #28 and was designed to be a “hip” teen to which readers could relate.
After a modestly rated first season on CBS, Supergirl will make the move to its sister station The CW for season two where it is set to join the rest of Executive Producer Greg Berlanti’s four superhero dramas currently airing on the network. These include Arrow, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and the newly picked up Archie comics series Riverdale.
In a smart move by the network, The CW will air season one of Supergirl in its entirety. Fans will have a chance to catch up on the series beginning August 1st. This is when the network will begin airing two episodes of the season every Monday beginning with the pilot.
