If you are a fan of the horror/mystery/suspense genre prepare yourself for the release of Netflix’s latest original series. On the heels of the release of season 4 of its acclaimed Orange is the New Black, Netflix is set to release “Stranger Things”
The first season contains 8 episodes starring Winona Ryder and is set in a town which harbours an unknown secret. When the son of Joyce (Ryder) mysteriously goes missing, the town bans together to help find her son while at the same time trying to uncover the secrets that the town holds. The series will be executive produced by Shawn Levy of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidtt and 30 Rock fame.
Stranger Things is the latest of a long line of original content to join Netflix’s lineup. Recently, the streaming giant has released the Adam Sandler original movie “The Do Over” along with “The Fundamentals of Caring” which stars Selena Gomez. A few other upcoming Netflix originals include “Thirteen Reasons Why” and the long awaited Gilmore Girls continuation titled “A Year in the Life” which are also set to be released later this year.
