The second season of the greatly reviewed series “Daredevil” is back and nerds everywhere are getting excited. This season brings back Matt Murdock / Daredevil, a blind lawyer-by-day who fights crime at night crossing paths with Frank Castle, other known as The Punisher.
The second season was announced back in April of 2015 after the immense success of the first season. Production on the season began in July 2015 and continued through December, with the season focusing on ‘what makes a hero’ by comparing Murdock to Castle and Natchios, and showing how they affect his life.The full season of 13 episodes is set to be released on Netflix on March 18, 2016.
One of the showrunners Marco Ramirez talked about how the second season of Daredevil will stand out from the first, saying “A lot of what we did last season was wonder if there was a place for dark and gritty content in superheroes, and because of the fan reaction, which was overwhelming, we got a loud answer of ‘yes.’ Now that we know that exists, you wanted grounded and wanted dark, here’s Elektra and Punisher. You asked for it”.
