Yesterday was a sad day for Star Wars fans, as the new Star Wars front runner Daisy Ridley deleted her instagram. Her actions were taken due to harassment from her fans and followers, which had been going on for some time now. The final straw for both sides, however, was a post she made about the 2016 Teen Choice Awards.
This news is particularly shameful knowing that Daisy has been very candid and loving with her fans. Recently she opened up about her struggles with endometriosis. She is also a firm believer of “real women have curves”.
This is not the first and most likely not the last time that a celebrity will be forced to leave social media. Being a Star Wars fan boy and a fan of Daisy herself, we at The Nerd is the Word wish her all the best!
Daisy is NOT a fan of “real women have curves”, she specifically said that all women, all body types are in fact women. And she did not get chased off of social media. She had a post up for a few mins explaining why she disabled her account and that is because she just needed some time away from social media because she is going to be busy. At the end of the post, she also said that she appreciated and loves the Instagram community
