Time to beat those winter blues! Wan’t to learn some programming? Get your kids thinking outside the box this winter and get ready to start making!
Together with Maker Junior, Makerspace North will be hosting a six week series of classes in their NorthLab workshop designed for kids ages 7 to 11.
This time around you’ll be able to register your maker for the whole six week program, or sign them up for a two week project.
The dates and projects are as follows:
January 7 and 14 – Doodlebots and Buzzbots
January 28 and Febuary 4 – Interactive storyboards
Febuary 25 and March 4 – Talking Stuffies! Exploring 3D Design
Here’s what you will be busy with:
Vibration motors
Hexbugs
Scratch Programming
The Makey Makey
Fabric
3D Design
Voice Recorders
All materials will be provided; all you have to bring is your imagination!
Although the fun will be for all ages, they find that beginners and those starting to get curious about making are the most interested in this workshop. If your daughter or son is an avid maker or you wonder if this would be the right fit for their level of advancement, please be in touch with Alison Evans of Maker Junior at alison@makerjunior.com to find out more details. The workshops are non-refundable.
