The first official Rings trailer was released earlier earlier this week by Paramount. As the third instalment in this horror series, we are curious how Samara will terrify us this time.
Coming from director Javier Gutierrez, Samara returns to terrorize anyone who watches the cursed video. “You’ve opened up a door, now no one is safe,” says a mysterious man after a woman sacrifices herself to the video in an effort to save her boyfriend. She discovers that there is a “movie within the movie” that no one has seen before.
As you can see by the Rings trailer, the video will take advantage of the current digital era that we live in. Being viewed from TVs, computer screens, through webcams, on planes, and we’re sure this is just the beginning. It definitely seems like no one is safe this time around – the time of the VHS is over and it seems Rings has adapted quite well!
