Upcoming app “Night Terrors” brings reality into a horror game

After “Pokemon Go” has given the augmented reality (AR) gaming community a breath of fresh air , why not change the tone into something a bit more dark and twisted? This upcoming app is a  total game changer when it comes to existing  horror games. Not only will the game practically take place  inside your home, it will turn your home  into a living nightmare!

Novum Analytics is releasing a new app game called the “Night Terrors” and it is just as spooky as it sounds! Night Terrors is an augmented reality (AR) game, which essentially uses your surroundings through your smartphone camera. The game maps the layout of where you are through your phone camera and generates scenarios and scares based on your location. This  means you could be living a virtual horror movie, even in the comfort of your own home! It also seems to mimic the manipulation of your phone. In the trailer that released this year, it shows the player getting messages from an “unknown” number, and shows their phone automatically posting photos on their social media, which would be even more scary if you took a few  selfies that nobody should probably see. Fortunately, it seems that they’ve used their own horrifying photos instead. The game is also adding storylines, which means the game isn’t going to be just a bunch of repeated scares, it actually gives you a mission which  really gives you that feel of being a hero. That… or being terrified of your own home.

This game is definitely not for the weak hearted, but great for people who just love getting a quick fright. Want to get your heart racing in fear? This is the game for you!

The developers are planning to release the game this Halloween for $5.99 on  the iTunes and the Android Store, but will give us a demo very soon called “Night Terrors: The Beginning”  for $0.99 in the App Store.
