Space Jam 2 getting the green light?!

You read it right! According to Hollywood Reporter, Space Jam 2 is getting the green light and will have Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James as the film’s main star.

Justin Lin will be directing the Space Jam sequel, best known for directing four of the Fast & Furious films, as well as the upcoming Star Trek Beyond.

Released in 1996, Space Jam starred basketball legend Michael Jordan alongside other NBA stars and the Looney Tunes cartoon characters. Despite negative reviews and a thin plot, it grossed more than $230 million US worldwide. Very little is known about the plot of the upcoming sequel or who the fellow cast members of Lebron James are. Do you think this is a cash grab coming from Warner Bros. or is this a movie that needs a sequel? We shall all be the judge of that when the movie hits theatres.
